Bath - April 2024

This year we went back to Bath and I'm very glad to report that the weather was so much better than when we were there in 2022!!

Despite Frankie and Marcus not being able to work their calendars, double booking themselves and having to drop out ;) we had a great group of 13 including our honorary member from Devon - always a pleasure Tony. 

Course was in great condition considering the weather we've had and there are some lovely holes. Definitely somewhere that I can see us returning next year.

In group C, Ade was fresh from putting in an order for new clubs and it must have gone well as he was striping his old clubs really well ... we're going to be in trouble when the new clubs arrive! Also, Welly has forgotten so much since he last played golf that he forgot he had a driver in the bag until the 15th hole!

Meanwhile, Simon was ripping the course a new one in group A and received the biggest cut we've ever seen in BBC society, going down a massive 9 shots! Congrats on the win mate.

In terms of comps, Welly took nearest the pin with a lovely banana shot which left him a 2foot putt for his first ever true birdie - well done mate - and earn a share of the 2s pot. Paul hit a worldie of a second shot to take nearest the pin in 2... and there was also a 2 for Ian to split the 2s pot.

As a final task for the day, Paul and I picked the teams for Spring tour, which will be on the Spring tour page. 24 of us this year, will be carnage and I'm already looking forward to it!
