For the 2nd event of the year we visited Weston Super Mare. A great bacon roll started the day and it even looked like we would get some sun ... however, despite Ian "the weatherman" Payne's predictions there was definitely going to be some wind!
Was great to be joined by 2 new members ... Toby and Gareth's new driver (that comes up to his nose!). Welcome Toby!
Some interesting shots off the 1st tee - good job it was an open course... which also saved Dave on the 10th when he hit onto the fairway, shame it was wide of the 10th, over the 1st and onto the 18th fairway!
Meanwhile Ian was misreading the wind so much that he put a 3 wood straight into Tom's thigh - hope that doesn't hinder the house viewing, mate!
Matty managed to get a 5 point score on 1 hole, which ultimately proved to be the difference giving team B the win. Congrats, mate.
In terms of comps, Gareth took nearest the pin and by all accounts Dan has hit a worldie of a second shot to take nearest the pin in 2... and despite not having his best day, Lloyd took the 2s pot to himself on 17a. Also, a big congrats to Sean for taking the individual prize ... bandit!
A lovely roast pork dinner finished the day off nicely and it's off to Farrington Park in March. Thanks to everyone who played today.
