About Us
Who are we?
A group of golfers who meet 12 times a year at different courses across the SouthWest (all within about 20-25 miles of Bristol).
Who can join?
Membership to the society is open to all golfers over the age of 18 regardless of ability.
How often and where do we play?
We have one round each month.
Always on a Sunday, tee off times vary but they can be found in the calendar, and as the event approaches further information will be available in the events section.
We are aware that lives can be busy so no pressure, play when you can.
We look to use society bookings to get a discount to allow us to play some great courses. For more information check out the events calendar.
What do the events look like?
A round of golf and a bite to eat. We will either have breakfast or lunch. Depends on the deal we can get at each place. We try to keep the cost of the event, which is food and golf, between £35 and £45.
Each event will have its own competition with prizes. Paying out for winners and runners up, and additional challenges like nearest the pin and longest drive.
Are there any other competitions?
Yes - The society will also operate an annual Order of Merit. This will be decided through a points system where points are awarded for finishing position at each event.
1st=10 / 2nd=8 / 3rd=6 / 4th=5 / 5th=4 / 6th=3 / 7th=2 / 8th=1
Only a players best 5 performances over the year will count. This means those that can’t attend all the time will not be penalised.
Do we go on tour?
Yes! We also run two tours each year!
An overseas trip which is 3 nights and always leaving on the first Saturday in October. We play three rounds of golf while away.
We also have a small tour which is one night away in the UK with two rounds of golf.
These are both optional and results don’t count towards annual order of merit.

All members are currently via referral via another society member. If you've been referred to the website by an existing member then just get that member to add you to an upcoming event where we can discuss becoming a member.
